Such a great bookstore. I usually leave with way more than I planned to buy. I've bought numerous books here that I've never seen in any other bookstores.

A nicely curated selection of books, many with hand written reviews and recommendation posted on the shelf. Classics are mixed in with just published books emphasizing the fact that literature doesn't age as poorly as action movies. Bring time to browse, to communicate, to get inspired, and leave with a book that you can't wait to crack open.

What a sweet bookshop! The perfect cozy vibe, they have a great selection of books for adults, teens, and kids. My daughter found a signed copy of the new book she's been waiting for! Perfect selection of stationary and fun "bookish" extras, like pens, notebooks, pins, stickers, and even advent calendars! We'll be back!

Amazing book store with a HUGE variety of books given its relatively small size. We spent an hour roaming around, but could have been there even longer! The staff is knowledgeable and shelves are lined with sticky notes on their recommendations and staff picks. It’s not quite in the city center of Birmingham, but worth a short drive over.

Thank You Books is truly my favorite place in Birmingham. The shop itself is darling- a charming, snug hideaway from the Alabama heat. Welcoming and inclusive of people of all backgrounds (and a whole side room for kids), the owners and staff go out of their way to create true community. I’ve had illuminating conversations and made dear friends through their events and variety of book clubs. When they don’t have a book I’m in need of, they order promptly and keep me in the loop when it’s on the way and when it’s arrived. I find myself ordering books on their website so I’ll HAVE to go pick up in store and HAVE to browse the rest of the store. I’ve received impeccable recommendations when I don’t know what I’m looking for, and the sellers are incredible at reading the room and helping you/ pleasantly conversing with you vs. leaving you to your own mischief perusing the shelves (though I always choose to chat 😌). I love this place and these people. It is and always will be my book home.

Exceptionally thoughtful curation — treasure trove of gems. There was something for every reader on my list. Hilarious shelf talker recommendations AND staff willing to make suggestions/point you in the right direction. Alabama is so, so lucky to have Thank You Books. I cannot believe I haven't written a review for them before, but Thank You Books is my favorite stop in Birmingham, and one of my favorite indies of all time! They practically saved my sanity during the pandemic with their clever pick-up order system, and their curation has both broadened my mind and made me feel seen. I absolutely love them!

This is my favorite little bookshop. There is always someone friendly to chat about books with, and if they don't have something in stock, you can just order it from them. Also - they never judge you when you go on a late night ordering spree and don't even remember what books you are there to pick up. Five++++ stars.

My favorite book store of ALL time!!! I go here when I want to find something to read, to gift, to enjoy! They have a phenomenal kids section. Great for every age, everybody! The owners an workers are so thoughtful, and they can point you in the right direction. My favorite part, everyone who works here leaves reviews for their favorite books on the shelves, so you can get recommendations without having to ask! They inspired me to start reading for pleasure again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I bring people from out of town, go with friends, and attend their events! GO TODAY!!!
